Meade, MD - Onsite Long term contract Must have TSSCI with CI Poly 100hr w2 Our client is seeking a Software Engineer to be part of a team that provides life-cycle management of specialized software on a mission critical system.
You will directly support end users and provide guidance and training as needed.
You will provide software modifications at the direction of the customer to add new capabilities or fix issues discovered during use of the applications by the end user.
You will provide user documentation, OS and software application configurations and testing.
This position is located in Ft.
Meade, MD and cannot be done remote.
What you will get to do bullPerform moderately complex analysis, design, development, testing, and debugging of computer software applications bullProvide end users with guidance and training as needed bullProvide on call support as needed bullDevelop system level scripts in various common languages bullPerform security updates on network and computer systems bullIncorporate all security disciplines, recommend and develop requirements specifications, designs, and procedures to satisfy program security policy bullMonitor the implementation of security requirements for government facilities and systems bullDevelop reports, information, and recommendations that support the implementation of government security requirements Qualifications You Must Have bullActiveCurrent TSSCI security clearance and CI Poly required bullA minimum of 4 years of Software Engineering experience bullSecurity Plus Certification (or CISSP) required OR the ability to acquire the certification within 45 days of hiring bullExperience in JAVA development language and Python scripting bullExperience with NetBeans IDE or Eclipse IDE in Linux environment bullExperience with Red Hat Linux operating systems installation and administration bullVirtualization experience and administration skills bullExperience in developing User Interfaces bullUnderstanding of security technologies and concepts, experience in implementation of secure network solutions.
bullKnowledge of Information Assurance and Information Operations technologies.
bullUnderstanding of the processes and guidelines for Certifying Accrediting (ICD 503) information systems.
