DISA Network Services IT Management Support Division (NS1) provides information technology solutions for the Defense Information System Network (DISN). The DISN infrastructure is the integrated IT core global enterprise network of the United States military, a multi-billion dollar program that provides unclassified and secret network connectivity (voice, data, and video) to DoD and coalition partners around the world.
Experience:
The NS11 Sustainment organization currently supports 43 projects and the workload requires the need to add additional resources to the team. There are 6 contractors supporting the projects and they average approximately 9 projects each. Some of the larger projects (MPLS, ETI, etc) require dedicated support and those contractor PMs supporting those projects are fully designated to support that specific effort.
The contractor PMs are required at a minimum to provide the following support:
Write White Papers
Complete trip reports as required
DISA Form 9 preparations
Update the NS1 Dashboard
Provided direct support to the NS1 government project manager
Develop project briefings as directed
Create project charter as required
Develop and maintain dynamic project schedules as directed
Attend Meetings
Complete Action Information Management System (AIMS) Tasks
Candidate must be an expert with Microsoft Project
Proficient with DEPS SharePoint
Proficient with MS PowerPoint
Familiar with EPPM (Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management)
Familiar with PSP (Project Support Plan)
Experience with DISA a plus.
Experience with the Defense Information Systems Network
Commercial telecommunications experience a plus.
Knowledge of MSPP, Promina, ODXC, OTS, Ciena 6500, Juniper & CISCO routers
Knowledge of IP, Optical, ATM & TDM networks
System Architecture a plus
PMP certification
Education:
Five or more years working as a Sr. Project Manager; at least 10 years of total experience.
Previous experience with DISA a plus; DoD or commercial Telecommunications experience a plus.
Engineering undergraduate degree preferred, 10 or more years experience is acceptable in lieu of a BS/BA degree.
DoD experience a plus but not required
Clearance:
Active Secret clearance required
Top Secret clearance preferred
