The Quality Control
inspector
is responsible for reviewing, evaluating, and implementing the Hiring Company's Quality Control Program to achieve and verify quality requirements for durable and reliable installations are met by proactively ensuring the quality of construction matches planned designs and conforms to all applicable standards and guidelines. The QC will apply their training in electrical engineering, to verify the correct method of installation of a system per the requirements of the RFP, and use drawings and specifications to ensure installation is compliant with these requirements. This function is performed without appreciable direction and will review work of less experienced Engineers. The QC Inspector solves complex problems that require a strong background in engineering.

Responsibilities:
Plan, complete, and review field inspections of all construction activities.
Review and verify all equipment check lists prior to submission.
Oversee process of verification that all General Contractor (GC) punch list items are signed-off in a timely manner, identify and report erroneous punch list items to GC and produce trending reports for all punch list items on a weekly basis.
Manage GC relationship and respond to GC on all discrepancy/non-compliance reports.
Ensure that the master sets of as-built drawings are kept up to date.
Ensure that field changes that have not been issued by the owner are documented through the EDN process prior to initial inspection.
Review all product submittals prior to submission to verify submittals correspond with design and specifications.
Complete inspection of all equipment and major materials prior to installation to verify equipment/material corresponds with the specifications and submittals.
Conduct, review and manage periodic meetings with the field staff to encourage consistent practice of the Hiring Company Quality Process.
Oversee Quality Check Foreman Reports, Report Trending issues, Inspection Schedule and Standard Electrical Practices and Issues.
Provide clarification of jobsite requirements for electrical installation to field staff for complex and unusual issues.
Plan, conduct, and oversee education meetings with multiple departments to ensure that all employees understand the importance of following prescribed procedures and policies.
Ensure delivery of weekly presentations to the field installers, mentioning trending items and reviewing pertinent Specifications and Code rules
Assess specifications and drawings of bid- build projects for any potential conflicts with other trades and utilities and fulfillment of project requirements.
Review and approve design-build specifications and design-build construction drawings throughout development and at each stage of issuance and document errors through the EDN process.
Plan, create, review, and monitor orientation reference document outlining installation practices for specific projects that can be provided to the field staff for compliance.
Ensure Equipment Verification process is documented by installers and relevant documents are submitted to Commissioning for final documentation.
Plan, perform, and review Material Receipt Inspection; ensure materials received matches specifications in contract documents.
Represent Hiring Company at meetings, including but not limited to, all preparatory meetings, GC weekly QA/QC meetings, Superintendents Meetings, other company or division-wide meetings as required.
Degree Required: Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Skills/Experience required:
Five (5) to seven (7) years QAQC experience on electrical construction projects
Proficient with MS Office Suite
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven ability to ensure directives are understood and carried out
Ability to work flex hours including nights and weekends

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
