About the role Strategic Analytix is currently searching for a Configuration ManagerThe Configuration Manager will be responsible for configuration management (CM) of developmental and operational systemsWorks on developmental and operational teams to create and maintain configuration baselines (development, test, production, etc.
) supporting developmental and operational systemsUses or recommends automated CM tools to implement CM policies and proceduresDevelops or modifies CM plans, policies, and procedures tailored to the complexity and scope of the developmental or operational systemImplement CM discipline for the entire life cycle of systems from initial requirements/capabilities baselines to system end-of-lifePerform change control and configuration auditsWhat you'll do Configuration Manager RequirementsAssist in implementing hardware and software version control processes, policies and proceduresAssist in the use of configuration management tools (e.
gDOORS, Eclipse) to store, track, and manage configuration itemsUnderstand basic concepts, and assist in documenting hardware and software configuration management processes and proceduresUnderstand basic concepts, assist in maintaining and developing the enviromnent for hardware and software product build, staging, testing and integrationAssist in defining and implementing hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures; such as creating product build scripts and procedures, and integrating those scripts with the hardware and software build processImplement hardware and software version control processes, policies and proceduresUtilize configuration management tools (e.
gDOORS, Eclipse) to store, track, and manage configuration itemsMaintain the CM environment for hardware and software product build, staging, testing and integrationApply concepts and define and implement hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures, such as creating product build scripts and procedures, and integrate those scripts with the hardware and software build processDevelop hardware and software version control processes, policies and procedures and ensure that they are followed on hardware and software development projectsServe as an advisor to (or non-voting member oJ) Government Change Control Board (CCB)Manage, maintain and develop the CM environment for hardware and software product build, staging, testing and integrationWork independently and defines and implement hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures, such as creating product build scripts and procedures, and integrate those scripts with the hardware and software build processEnsure hardware and software version control processes, policies and procedures are followed on hardware and software development projects.
Qualifications Clearance Level TS/SCI level clearance with a Full Scope PolygraphSkill Level 1:
Two (2) years experience as a CM in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is requiredAssociate's degree in a technical or business discipline from an accredited college or university is requiredTwo (2) years of additional CM experience may be substituted for an associate's degreeSkill Level 2:
Six (6) years experience as a CM in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is requiredBachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline from an accredited college or university is requiredFour (4) years of additional configuration management experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degreeSkill Level 3:
Eight (8) years experience as a CM in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is requiredBachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline from an accredited college or university is requiredA Master's degree may be substituted for two (2) years of experience, thereby reducing the total years of experience to six (6)Four (4) years of additional CM experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
