As a Community Coach, you will be a Direct Support Professional (DSP) who reports to a Day Services Program Manager, which means you will be facilitating community-based activities and supports for one to four people in The Arc's Day program.
Our Community Coaches are engaging, creative, and motivated as they support a person's life choices and facilitate opportunities to grow and build relationships.
The ideal candidate will ensure each person's goals are developed, implemented and met according to their Person-Centered Plan as they complete progress notes, daily logs, and individual planning activities.
Building up a person's self-esteem and self-confidence while also supporting job discovery, providing transportation, and encouraging increased community participation and skill building are all in a day's work for a trusted Community Coach.

This position requires a high school diploma or GED, though at least one year of experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred.
Candidates must also possess a valid Driver's license with no egregious records and complete all required Arc and Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) trainings.
Weekly hours vary from 28 to 35 hours a week depending on the needs of the people we support, and the wage is currently $19.
50 per hour plus a competitive benefits package.
