Overview By Light is currently seeking a skilled Connectivity Engineer to join our growing team! The Connectivity Engineer who performs engineering services to enable all aspects of network management from network design through implementation, maintenance, sustainment of existing networks, and identification/correction of complex internetwork issues.
Responsibilities Resolve complex network problems, and operate network analyzers, WAN test equipment and network simulators.
Perform site surveys, system installations, configuration management, maintenance, modernization, and sustainment of a global Enterprise Network.
Perform Connectivity engineering services to pre and post deployment tests.
Implement specific network solutions to support server requirements to include load-balancing, VPN's, firewall contexts, and network address translation (NAT) where appropriate.
Minimize network latency and maximize data throughput.
(U) Validate new and existing dataflow and data formats.
Lead large efforts of dynamic requirements and scale.
Work with System engineers, customers, and cross organizational teams to refine requirements.
(U) Coordinate with appropriate dataflow organizations and end-customer recipients, follow-on data repositories and tasking organizations and understand potential adverse impacts on system-wide dataflow.
Perform security testing and design evaluations.
Employ Government standards to configure the interconnects between data centers, networks and security boundaries.
Draft technical requirements, configuration management, and planning documentation.
(U) Perform support to QC, QA, and CM services.
Design, integrate, configure, deploy, test and maintain numerous types of network devices, interfaces and technologies to include VPN, VRF, VSS, BGP and OSPF routing, and VLAN.
Optimize end-to-end system performance (capacity, margins, data quality etc.
) and dataflow management.
Configure and optimize the network to connect various front-end and back-end components Coordinate with the system engineering and dataflow efforts to ensure proper mission operations with minimal down time.
Facilitate the implementation of high-speed, scalable, fault-tolerant network topologies as applicable to WAN and LAN design.
Required Experience/Qualifications Twelve (12) years' experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university is required.
Four (4) years of additional network engineering experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
Certifications:
An IAT level III baseline certification as defined by DoD 8570.
01-M is required.
An IAT II will be accepted (Security
CE, GSEC, or SSCP) if the candidate obtains an IAT level III (CISA, CISSP, CASP, GCIH, or GCED) within 1 year of contract award and provide expected date for completion.
Replacement candidates must meet the IAT level III baseline certification requirement by the date of assignment to contract.
A CCNP certification or higher ITIL V3 Foundations.
Special Requirements/Security Clearance TS/SCI w/ Polygraph required at time of application.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
