Responsibilities:
o Analyze existing circuits to determine operational characteristicso Generate requirements based on circuit functiono Design circuits at the schematic level.
o Select circuit components based on given requirements.
o Utilize development boards and/or breadboards to prove out circuit designs.
o Work with mechanical engineers to develop mechanical aspects of products.
o Oversee and inspect board layouts.
o Test circuit boards to prove they function as expected, debug as required.
o Assist in the development of production-level tests.
o Support transition to production.
o Perform failure analysis on problem areas.
o Document results of testing and failure analysis.
o Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
o Assist in creating cost estimates for related activitiesHere's What You'll Need:
o Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
o 3 years experience in circuit board development,o SDR Systems or RF collection systems.
o Good knowledge of electronic components and test equipmentPreferred:
o TS/SCI security clearance with Full Scope Poly.
o Ability to generate schematics.
o Ability to read and understand datasheets for integrated circuits.
o Good knowledge of electronic components and test equipment.
o Understanding of BOM and product configuration practices.
o Ability to work in a dynamic environment with cross-functional teams.
o Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously.
o Effective time management and prioritization skills.
o Excellent communication and documentation skills.
o Works well as a part of a team.
o Basic skills in Microsoft Office software products- Good problem solving skills.
o Ability to write software and/or firmware.
o Experience in rechargeable batteries and battery chargers.
o Experience in low power design.
o Experience in micro-controller based designs.
o Experience with Allegro, OrCAD, and/or Altium Designer.
o Experience with tracking and/or communications products.
Recommended Skills Batteries Communication Debugging Electrical Engineering Electronics Manufacturing Firmware Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
