R-00121746 Description Leidos Defense Group is seeking a SrWindows Systems Administrator Technical Lead in support of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) located at Ft Meade, MD DISA acts as the provider of GIG/Defense Information System Network (DISN) services to its customers, the department of Defense (DoD), and national security organizations The candidate will be a senior team member managing Tier III support for a major DISA programPRIMARY
Responsibilities:
o Directly report to Tier III Technical Lead on all technical concernso Assisting in hiring processes for multiple labor categories as requiredo Coach and reviewing the work of lower-level Windows Admin technical staff.
o Analyze System Administration for a robust lab used to test, implement, research, and develop solutions that will be provided to remote Tier II partners for implementation in the production environment.
o Author detailed implementation plans for successful completion by Tier II personnel.
o Provide effective technical expertise to sustain a mostly virtual lab environment.
o Analyze and supportfor ticket escalation on major outages.
o Be able to work in a rapid paced environment at times.
o Provide strategic input with development partners to ensure customers understand emerging needs and technological advancements.
o Lead the onboarding and standup of new enclaves and environments as needed.
o Interact with Tier II support and evaluate vendor products.
o Make recommendations to purchase hardware and software.
o Creates, maintains, and implements detailed documentation and maintains standard operating procedures.
o Application of security settings and other commercial best practices such as DISA STIGS.
o Support M-F business hours schedule, also responsible for occasional on-call, extended hour, and weekend support as required by mission or emergenciesBASIC
Qualifications:
o Bachelor's degree and/or 12
years of overall related experience with a Windows server environmentAdditional experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree.
o Extensive Windows experience o Extensive experience working with virtual environments using VMware and VDI applicationso Extensive understanding of DoD security requirement and application of security settings and other commercial best practices such as DISA STIGS.
o Understand networking operations supporting Lab environmentso Currently possess an active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret is required for this position.
o Currently possess DoD 8570 certification at least IAT level II, e.
gSecurity+cePREFERRED
Qualifications:
o VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or other VCP End-User Computing Track course/certificationso Integration of cyber security tools and systems with network performance, trouble ticketing, and security subsystems highly desired o Candidates with knowledge of networking principles to included TCP/IP a plus.
o Experience with a ticketing system such as BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, ITSM+, etco ITIL v3 Foundation certified GSMO Pay Range:
Pay Range $105,300.
00 - $190,350.
