Project Manager

The Project Manager is responsible for leading multiple medium to large cross-functional projects in a biopharma industry from initiation to completion including evaluation and analysis activities prior to project initiation.
The Project Manager must have experience managing capital as well as business and continuous improvement projects including implementation of new technologies.
The role includes creating project management capability, establishing predictable and consistent project management processes, and building a strong project management office.
This role will be part of a site CI team and reports to the Site CI Director.

_ The Role
Partner with project sponsors to understand strategic objectives and ensure alignment of project objectives.

Lead multiple cross-functional projects from Initiation to Closure while managing scope, schedule and cost using PMI or similar project management methodology.

Consult with Site Leadership Team on ideas for advancing strategic objectives, improving organizational performance, and meeting business needs.

Develop project portfolio to deliver the sites strategic objectives including accelerating new technologies.

Manage or assist in business analysis, business case development and all aspects of portfolio management.

Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships, identify and secure resources, report on project status to management, facilitate solutions, manage project risk, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

Utilize soft skills to balance conflicting and competing goals of project stakeholders to achieve consensus.

Coach and mentor Project Leaders to complete projects by identifying and eliminating barriers.

Network and collaborate with other Catalent Project/Portfolio Managers to share best practices The Candidate
Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Life Science, Engineering or Business field and a minimum of 5 years of Project Management experience in manufacturing industry
Masters degree with an emphasis in Life Science, Engineering, or Business field and a minimum of 4 years
Experience leading multiple large cross-functional projects using PMI or similar methodology
PMP certification required.
Certification must be maintained.

Must have strong leadership skills to guide, motivate and direct a team and help the organization achieve its business goals.

Strong technical project management skills demonstrated in Non-IT industry.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work with people at all levels of the organization, including the executive leadership team.

Demonstrated collaboration and influencing skills.

Experience working in production facilities.

Ability to successfully prioritize and manage large, complex projects, deadlines, and tasks with little supervision in both team and independent environment.

Must be able to interact effectively with a variety of individuals and personalities within and between departments and sites.

Fully competent in the use of common computer software Microsoft Project and Office Suite Position
