Our Opportunity:
The Defense Enclave Services contract will unify the DOD Fourth Estate Defense Agencies and Field Activities' common use information technology systems, personnel, functions and program elements under the direction of DISA's Fourth Estate Network Optimization program office.
This Senior Network Architect will provide technical expertise, strategic planning, and direction to the networking operational team.
Clearance Requirement:
oCurrently possess or are eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
(US Citizenship required) Key
Responsibilities:
oDevelop a plan to roll out multiple technologies, and evaluate alternative technologies and architectures, develop pilots and proposals to accelerate network consolidations and optimization.
Interface with vendors to develop and implement new solutions as needed.
oDesign and manage the rollout of critical network infrastructures to on both a strategic (long term) and tactical (immediate term) level.
oPerform analytical, technical, cost analysis and proposal development work in the planning, design, installation and on-going administration and management.
oWork across teams and organization to design a global network consolidation and modernization encompassing millions of endpoints.
oWork among a team of industry experts and apply complex design principles and methodology to ensure cost-effective and optimal use of resources and technology without jeopardizing network integrity.
Must have's:
oBachelor's degree and 12
years of relevant experience; additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
oDemonstrated, in-depth knowledge of LAN/WAN support and engineering design for voice, data and video networks at Access, Aggregation, and Core network locations.
oUnderstanding of Network virtualization, including hybrid cloud networking at global scale.
oThorough understanding of modern service provider TCP/IP data networks using standards and technologies such as:
MPLS, IS-IS, OSPF, BGP4, STP, RSTP, 802.
1q, 802.
1ah, ADSL2+, SDWANoStrong working knowledge, skills and experience with Cisco routing HW, SW & protocols oStrong working knowledge of structured cabling systems, network facilities, electrical, UPS, etc.
Ability to work alone as an individual contributor, as a technical lead and as a participant in a team environment.
oRouter, Switch and IP configuration experience.
oAbility to communicate with executive leadership (internally or client) regarding matters of significant importance to the organization/project.
oMust have DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification prior to start date (Sec+).
Nice to have's:
oAdvanced certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, etc.
DISADESPay Range:
Pay Range $118,300.
00 - $182,000.
00 - $245,700.
00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
