Cyber Analysts will help to identify and respond to information security incidents for US Department of Defense. The candidate will participate in efforts to prepare for, identify, contain, remediate, resolve, and close cyber incidents in a timely and high quality manner. Filling a Threat/ Intrusion/ Data/Intelligence and Counter Intelligence Analyst role, intrusion analysts, working closely with threat and intelligence analysts monitor current attack and threat information to identity those that are relevant to the enterprise; identify traffic patterns that define potential attacks; differentiate between anomalous traffic patterns caused by misbehaving; and create a timeline of intruder activity. Have knowledge of firewall and other security policies and functionality to block unwanted traffic and dealing with attackers. As a member of the Cyber contract team, the candidate will be expected to collaborate closely with other government, contractor and customer personnel to ensure successful mission accomplishment with the intention of surpassing the long-term goals.
REQUIREMENTS:
Personnel Qualifications. The following certifications are highly desired:
Security+, A
and CISSP certified
Certified Associate in Software Quality (CASQ)
Certified Associate in Software Testing (CAST)
Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA)
Certified Software Tester (CSTE)
Certified Software Project Manager (CSPM)
Certified Software Business Analyst (CSBA)
Certified Software Process Engineer (CSPE)
Certified Quantitative Software Process Engineer (CQSPE)
Certified Manager of Software Testing (CMST)
Certified Manager of Software Quality (CMSQ)
Information Assurance Management (IAM)/Information Assurance Technical (IAT) level II certification.
IAM/IAT level III certification IAW DOD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program guidelines.
CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Juniper Certified Internet Associate (CIA)/Certified Internet Specialist (CIS).
